Tracy BondRegion 15 - Community Advisor: Roy Argue/Tina Chestnut

Tracy Bond is self employed and works with a number of N.G.O’s and agencies, managing programs for environmental, economic and community development.

A big believer in contributing to ones community, Tracy volunteers her time with many local organizations. (Baker Creek Enhancement Society, Horsefly River Roundtable, Big Brothers-Big Sisters, Quesnel Rodeo Club and Quesnel Sustainability Task Force and youth mentorship opportunities)

Tracy loves nature, animals, and creative pursuits.

Tracy is no stranger to community development, having spent 18.5 years working with agencies such as: Alberta Forestry (community outreach for Northern Alberta), a Philippine community development agency, Y.W.C.A., Community Futures, Quesnel Community and Economic Development, Quesnel Women’s Resource Centre, Baker Creek Enhancement Society, Habitat Conservation and Stewardship Program – Cariboo Region, Horsefly River Roundtable, Quesnel Youth Soccer and even her own Llama Trekking and canoeing company, which taught her the importance of conscious, continued movement towards a community’s vision for itself.

Tracy holds a Resource Recreation and Tourism degree from University of Alberta, an International Baccalaureate from Lester B. Pearson College of the Pacific, and many additional courses in Restoration of Natural Systems and Environmental Management.
Tracy helps groups and agencies meet their mandates and put their visions into actions.

Tracy grew up in remote communities in the Northwest Territories/Nunavut and witnessed first hand the importance of the land for the survival of its inhabitants. This increases her motivation to do “something” as, even in the last 40 years there have been environmental impacts that have changed the ways of life for many people.

Through quality mentorship of community leaders such as Dora McMillan (Quesnel) she has seen the difference that one person or group can make and is addicted to that premise.
