These highly successful forums are organized by board members who have had previous experience with the session topic. Forum content is determined through discussion following our roundtable reports, criteria for our forum topics can be found here.  We are supported by Fisheries and Oceans Staff in garnering knowledgeable panel presenters and speakers.

  • Perpetual Issues   ( 8 Articles )

This list is a summary of volunteer concerns from across the province.  Volunteer groups
forward their issues, challenges and success’s every four months to their representative. A review of these issues occurs at the Salmon Enhancement Habitat Advisory Board meetings and other categories of issues are added if they are different than what has been identified.  The Salmon Enhancement Advisory Board uses this list to develop its priorities and work plans.

The six categories of issues identified as of March 2009 are:  Communication, Stock Assessment, Riparian Areas Regulations, Tools and Resources, Enforcement and Other.  For years the issues, have not changed only increased in breadth and complexity.
